Justien is an independent consultant in the field of international social security with extensive experience within the big 4. Currently she combines her work as an independent consultant with a job as an advisor on private international insurances with JoHo Insurances.
Justien has graduated from Leiden University in 2001 with a degree in tax law. She started as a tax advisor on global mobility with KPMG Meijburg. After a switch to PwC in 2006 she specialized in international social security and this resulted in a role being responsible for PwC's consulting on international social security for the Dutch practice. She gained knowledge on German social security via an assignment to PwC Frankfurt in 2013. With PwC she provided training to both Dutch and international colleagues on international social security. In 2015 Justien got the opportunity to lead the international social security practice of Deloitte in the Netherlands. Her main responsibilities were to centralize all consulting and compliance to a team of subject matter experts and coordinate further outsourcing to India. Furthermore she was responsible for the set-up of worldwide coordination of social security services for one of the largest Dutch multinational Deloitte clients.
