In 2002 Inge Nitsche founded Expatise®, a non-commercial, collaborative network of Global Mobility stakeholders. In this inspiring environment, the Expatise Academy was born as a response to an increasingly complex environment in the wake of globalization. International workforce management has become a topic for corporations, specifically HR departments. Handling international employees was and still is a challenge for HR professionals. Education and lifelong learning were regarded as key to serving international employees adequately.

Between 1989 and 2002, she consulted employers on international taxes and global workforce topics. In 2002, she created the Expatise™ brand and formula and fully dedicated herself to the professionalization of expatriate management, both from an employer's and assignee's perspective, in corporate (interim) HR Global Mobility management roles and advisory roles to many profit and non-profit multinational companies, as well as national government organizations.
Between 2007 and 2010, she chaired the Dutch Expatriation Foundation, a collaborative network organization for international employers in the Netherlands.
In 2010, the Expatise Center was founded in close collaboration with these employers and in 2011 the Expatise Academy. Since its inception, Inge has been its chairwoman and CEO.
