Jet counsels employers in all aspects of global immigration law, including strategic resource planning for global projects on behalf of multinational corporations and assessing best practices to meet the needs of individual clients. Ms. Stigter’s global experience includes immigration laws in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas. She also advises clients on U.S. immigration matters. Ms. Stigter also advises and assists corporate clients on the development of comprehensive global human resource strategies, and she has conducted training sessions for supervisors, managers and employees regarding multiple aspects of international transfers.
Ms. Stigter received a Dutch J.D. degree from Rijksuniversiteit Leiden - Faculteit der Rechtsgeleerdheid in Leiden, the Netherlands, in 1998, where she was a member of the Leiden Journal of International Law. She also holds an LL.M. from Emory University School of Law and an LL.M. in Law and Economics from Universität Hamburg Fachbereich Rechtswissenschaft II in Hamburg, Germany. Ms. Stigter is fluent in Dutch and English and speaks conversational German and basic French.
Jet has been a member of the Expatise Immigration Faculty since 2012.
