About the event
An "EU Posted Worker" is an employee who is sent by his employer to temporarily carry out a service in another EU Member State in the context of a contract of services, an intra-group posting, or hiring out through a temporary agency.
To guarantee that rights and working conditions for these posted workers are protected throughout the European Union (EU) and to ensure a level playing field for their employers, EU law contains mandatory rules set out in the Posting of Workers Directives (PWDs).
The PWD was adopted in 1996, revised in 2018, and enforced by the Enforcement Directive in 2014. These Directives impose several rules on the Employer, who must comply with these obligations for every single posted worker.
