Brian James

Brian has over 14 years of experience in advising expatriates and (large) multi-national companies in income tax, wage tax and social security consequences of assigning personnel abroad. Areas of expertise include the 30%-ruling, stock options, treaty application and severance payments. Brian is also the author of the book "De 30-%-regeling voor ingekomen werknemers" which deals with the expatriate tax concession (30%-ruling) in Dutch wage tax legislation, making him a leading expert in this area. Brian holds two law degrees - Fiscal and Notarial – from the University of Leiden.

Brian joined the Expatise Faculty in 2013.
