Alain is founder and joint owner of Pallas Attorneys-at-Law, an Amsterdam boutique law firm specialized in employment law and worker’s participation law. Alain specializes in international employment law and published various articles on the subject employment law in e.g. daily newspapers and professional employment law literature. Amongst others, Alain is author of the Toolkit Dutch Employment Law, editor/author of The Expat/Impat Handbook and co-author of The Practical Guide Employment Law (Praktijkgids Arbeidsrecht).
At the Expatise Academy Alain teaches the topic International Employment Law. He also used to be a teacher on the subject employment law at the University Leiden, the University for Professional Education in Rotterdam (HES) and at Business University Nyenrode. In 2007 Alain lectured in China in various workshops with the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
Clients of Alain and Pallas Attorneys-at-Law exist of multinational companies (e.g. AEX, NYSE, TSX, PSX, NASDAQ), Dutch and international middle market companies, works councils, directors, expats and higher management. Alain has many Asian companies amongst his clients.
Alain joined the Expatise Faculty in 2013.
