Max has over 10 years of experiences in controlling international payroll administrations and he currently holds the role of Payroll Manager Netherlands for Shell. In his role, Max is accountable for the NL payroll for the active employees, including a large expat population, and pensioners. Prior to joining Shell, he was the payroll manager Europe for Crocs and served multinationals as Senior Consultant for PwC in relation to their national and international payroll related issues. He also held the position of Payroll Manager for iPS Powerful People, an international assignment agency for the Maritime, Oil & Gas and Tunneling industry.
To ensure compliance, he has developed the best practice method ‘Global Payroll Control Framework (GPCF)’. This GPCF aims to be in control of (inter)national payroll and align the payroll strategy with the overall tax and business strategy of an origination. He shares insightful information on being in control of payroll in publications in Global Payroll magazine, webinars, and as course instructor.
