Kevin leads Faegre Baker Daniels’ China labor and employment team and has been based in Greater China for over 19 years. Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Kevin was the head of DLA Piper’s employment practice in China.
Kevin has a solid reputation in the market, and has been recognized as a leading employment lawyer in China by Legal 500 and Chambers Asia for a number of years. Kevin is regularly asked to contribute articles to various publications and is sought out by reporters for his expertise on employment related developments in China. In the past year he has been quoted in articles published by Bloomberg, China Business Review, Reuters and Financial Times, among others.
Kevin and his team are particularly skilled in handling mass layoffs and individual terminations, handling strikes, investigating employees for misconduct or FCPA/anti-bribery violations, and resolving contentious employment situations. The team members have extensive experience in these areas so they are able to anticipate employee behavior and likely actions, allowing them to advise clients in advance on how best to resolve or address these situations, and avoid potentially dangerous, costly or reputation damaging mistakes.
